Richard H. Harris, Jr.

A San Francisco attorney since 1977, Harris’ legal practice includes:

  • Insurance coverage
  • Environmental and hazardous waste clean-up
  • Real estate development
  • Business and personal injury litigation.

He is a graduate of Stanford University and the Boalt Hall School of Law of the University of California at Berkeley, and began his legal career as an associate with Hancock, Rothert & Bunshoft. Harris is rated A-V (highest rating) by Martindale-Hubbell.

A tenacious advocate, Harris particularly enjoys difficult cases. He led a successful legal and political campaign to save the Stanford Golf Course from housing development, and is a founding member of the San Francisco Public Golf Alliance.

His prior experience includes news reporting, public affairs consulting, and service as a First Lieutenant with the 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army, South Vietnam. He is a former captain of the Stanford Golf Team.
